What is seborrheic dermatitis on the underarms?
Seborrheic dermatitis on the underarms is a skin rash that causes:
- Severe redness
- Itching
- Burning
Unlike in other areas of the body, seborrheic dermatitis on the underarms does not cause skin flaking. It often occurs at the same time as it appears in other locations, usually the face.
In diagnoses it is frequently confused with other forms of dermatitis or with allergic reactions to certain deodorants.
This disorder does not appear to be related to excessive sweating and hypersweating or the intake of particular foods.
What are the causes of seborrheic dermatitis?
A precise cause is not known and it is believed to be due to a skin instability similar to that of psoriasis with which it is often associated.
Physical and/or mental stress can cause seborrheic dermatitis to arise or keep it ongoing.
Treatment
It is important to seek a dermatological consultation to diagnose seborrhoeic dermatitis in the armpits. As a cosmetic adjuvant to treatment to dull redness and relieve itching and burning:

HOW LONG TO CONTINUE THE TREATMENT
Dermatitis slowly goes away within one to two weeks.

PREVENTION
Once the skin of the underarm has returned to normal, resume cleansing using Eudermic Cleansing Base. As an antiperspirant, apply Everydeo after washing and drying.
